The NiO website has been over here: http://noiseinopposition.co.uk for a while now.
Joint Statement #01
The turn of the year on Midsummer 2019 marks the initiation of the Noise In Opposition Joint Statements series.
#01 features 4 tracks of rusty metallic electro-dub from Ekoplekz and 4 tracks of playful bleep and buzz from Liv Radigue.
Free download from NiO on Bandcamp and Archive.org to spread the word that we won’t sit idly by while hatred rises.
DVD orders and future plans
Well, the printing issues took more than a week to sort out and ended up needing a whole new printer buying. Grovelling apologies to all the good people who’ve waited a month for their discs – they are all being posted today & tomorrow.
Now that stress is over, an announcement:
This summer will see the launch of a series of split EP releases from a selection of brilliant artists and lovely people under the banner of Noise In Opposition. There are half-a-dozen already signed up (some exciting names too), if you know anyone else interested point them my way. I will try and prioritise people who haven’t been on the compilations, so everybody gets a crack.
NIO3 DVD
DVD news – after a bit of a delay, the first 10 went out to loving homes. Apologies to anybody who has been waiting for one – had a few printing issues which should hopefully be resolved this week and will get them in the post ASAP.
Out Now (mostly)
NIO3 is now available to download on Bandcamp for free. DVDs will be up in the next few days (printing issues…).
Please share & enjoy.
NIO3 1/2/19
Coming Feb 1st 2019: 53 tracks, 4 hours 15 minutes of sound across multiple styles, a 77-page digital artzine and a bonus music video. Avant-garde & electronic artists standing together against fascism and prejudice = Noise In Opposition 3.
The final push
The end is in sight now: mastering is done, artwork is being finalised, digital zine is nearly done, discs are ready for burning…
Speaking of the digital zine – this is looking exciting – we have texts from The Trifler & Laica, artwork from Maxim Peter Griffin & Displaced/Replaced and of course the exclusive 24-page comic from Gareth Hopkins “Too Dry To Haunt”.
